Our premium organically farmed gourmet King Oyster mushrooms are home grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead on hard wood logs from our forest! We have a small mushroom farm in a shady, damp area of our property back in our woods, were we grow and harvest our mushrooms. We harvest them at just the right time for maximum flavoring, then dry them for uses in soups, salads, stirfrys, Asian cuisines, pizza toppings, in spaghetti and other pasta dishes and MUCH more!
Remember, mushrooms are 92 percent water. When mushrooms are cooked, they release a lot of liquid! Dried mushrooms are 10% or less of their original weight but can be rehydrated quick and easily!

HEALTH BENEFITS: Scientific studies on the health benefits of oyster mushrooms are emerging, and it has been suggested that Oyster mushroom health benefits may include lower cholesterol, heart health, higher immune function, and improved metabolic health. Nutritionally, Golden Oyster mushrooms are: low calorie.
USES: What do King oyster mushrooms taste like? The flavor is earthy, aromatic, and very savory. This variety of mushroom is known for its intense umami flavor. The King Trumpet, Eryngii or King Oyster mushroom is the largest of the oyster mushroom genus and, unlike other oyster mushrooms, their stalks aren't tough and woody to eat. Instead, they're hailed for their meaty texture and umami flavour.
The Oyster Mushroom is made up of vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, iron and is a very good source of antioxidants.
They can be used in a wide variety of culinary applications and are commonly used in stir-fries to add a chewy, tender texture.
REHYDRATION: Put the dried mushrooms in tepid water for at least 15 minutes, depending on how thick the dried mushrooms are. I like a narrow tall bowl to soak them in. This concentrates any potential debris or sand in the bottom of the bowl, leaving the rehydrating mushrooms floating in the clean water above.
