SOME INFORMATION ABOUT SOME OF THE TYPES OF PEPPERS INCLUDED IN THIS SEASONING MIX
JALAPENO: The jalapeño is a medium-sized chili pepper pod type cultivar of the species Capsicum annuum. A mature jalapeño chile is 5–10 cm long and hangs down with a round, firm, smooth flesh of 25–38 mm wide. It can have a range of pungency, with Scoville heat units of 4,000 to 8,500
POBLANO: They taste similar to a green bell pepper with a little more kick. Cooking poblanos mellows them even more, making them slightly sweet. Ripe poblanos are red and tend to be spicier than unripe, green peppers. They're often dried and sold as ancho chiles, and they add a peppery, slightly smoky flavor to dishes.
CAYENNE: What Does Cayenne Taste Like? Cayenne doesn't have a smoky or earthy a flavor as some other dried chiles do. Mostly, it's hot and a little fruity, and that's about it.
NUMEX SANDIES: Developed in 1956, the NuMex Sandia has the great flavor of an Anaheim pepper where it has a mild, fruity sweetness, and is an eatable flavor that can be counted on for versatility in the kitchen! It's also hotter than the original Sandia Hot, but we're not complaining
