SUGAR RUSH HOT dried pepper seasoning Unique Creek Homestead

A mix of Sugar Rush, Sugar Rush Stripey, Sugar Rush Cream & Sugar Rush Peach hot peppers!

The flavor of Sugar Rush Peach peppers is, of course, sweet. It also has a very fresh, slightly vegetal flavor. There are also muted undertones of tropical fruit when eaten raw. This means that the Sugar Rush Peach is a perfect ingredient for fruity salsa, or to spice up a bean chili dish.

The Sugar Rush Peach pepper averages about 50,000 to 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is not quite as hot as the Habanero pepper, but hotter than the Thai pepper and the Pequin pepper. The peppers, which grow to about three inches in length, start off green and mature to a peach color.

Sugar Rush Cream chile peppers are juicy and crunchy with an intense, fruity, and subtly floral flavor reminiscent of citrus and peach. The pods also contain a moderate level of spice that is delayed and builds gradually in intensity, creating a smooth, warm burn.

Here is the Sugar Rush Cream Pepper, Capsicum baccatum, Scoville units: 1,000+ SHU. The Sugar Rush Cream originated from the UK and is a white variant of the Sugar Rush Peach pepper. It is named for their intense sweetness. It was discovered by Chris Fowler, a farmer in Wales, around 2014.

The taste of the Sugar Rush Stripey is sweet and fruity with hints of citrus, but it finishes with the heat of a mild Habanero. Its delicious flavor and medium spice level make it a great pepper for salsa and hot sauce.

These peppers pack a good punch, similar to many other spicy C. baccatum varieties. What is this? In short, the Sugar Rush Stripey likely falls between 25,000-50,000 SHUs on the Scoville scale.
