  • Pepperoncini can be grown in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 8 through 10. Pepperoncini seeds need a soil temperature of 70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and bright light to sprout.

    Start your pepperoncini plants as seeds inside in the early spring or late winter. Press the seeds approximately a quarter-inch into a good, all-purpose potting soil. Water them daily to keep them moist and place the containers in a sunny window. Typically, you will being to see seedlings in 7-14 days.
