UNIQUE CREEK HOMESTEAD SEEDS: All of our seeds are grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead and not sourced from elsewhere. All seeds are collected each growing season and are 1-year old or less, stored in air-tight Mason jars. Seeds are harvested and labeled for storage each season, one plant/seed type at a time so seeds do not get mixed by accident during the process! The seeds we use at the start of each growing season come from the exact same seeds we sell!

ABOUT THESE SEEDS: The Aji Charapita Peach is a rare, peach-colored variant of the famous wild Peruvian chili pepper (Capsicum Chinese).

Key Characteristics

Heat Level: Ranges widely from 25,000 to over 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), delivering a fiery, manageable kick similar to habaneros or traditional yellow Charapitas.

Flavor Profile: Features a distinct fruity, citrusy, and slightly smoky aroma with tropical undertones.

Appearance: Small, round to slightly ovate pods measuring about 0.5 to 0.6 inches across, ripening from green to a glowing pastel peach.

Plant Habit: Bushy perennial plants that typically grow 2 to 4 feet tall, known for producing heavy yields of upright-facing pepper clusters.

Culinary Uses

Fresh or Crushed: Squeezed or finely chopped to add a burst of fruitiness and heat to salsas, salads, rice and beans, and local hot sauces.

Dried: Excellent for dehydrating into powder or specialty chili flakes.

Growing and Care

Climate: Thrives in containers, raised beds, or warm garden settings; can be overwintered indoors in colder climates.

Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).

Sincerely,
