UNIQUE CREEK HOMESTEAD SEEDS: All of our seeds are grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead and not sourced from elsewhere. All seeds are collected each growing season and are 1-year old or less, stored in air-tight Mason jars. Seeds are harvested and labeled for storage each season, one plant/seed type at a time so seeds do not get mixed by accident during the process! The seeds we use at the start of each growing season come from the exact same seeds we sell! 

ABOUT THESE SEEDS: 
 
The Chocolate Cherry Bomb pepper is a variety of Capsicum annuum, known for its rich, chocolate-brown color and golf ball size. It's a sweeter, less spicy version of the Cherry Bomb pepper, with a flavor profile described as earthy and sweet. The peppers have thick walls, making them crunchy, and are ideal for fresh or pickled use.

Appearance and Size: 
Ripens to a rich, chocolate-brown color.
Typically the size of a golf ball.
Peppers are round or slightly ovate in shape.
Flavor and Heat: Has a sweet and fruity flavor profile and The heat level is mild. 
Plant Characteristics: 
The plants are compact and short.
They produce a dense amount of peppers in a small space.
Culinary Uses: 
Can be used fresh in salads or pickled.
Good for stuffing, baking, grilling, or roasting.
Pairs well with cheeses like cream cheese, feta, and goat cheese.
Also complements meats like sausage, prosciutto, and bacon.
Growing Information: 
Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date.
Keep soil temperature between 75-90°F.
Soil should be well-drained with plenty of organic matter.

Cherry Bomb Chocolate peppers generally have a Scoville Heat Unit (SHU) rating of 2,500 to 5,000 SHU
 
Sow seeds in flats or pots 8 to 10 weeks prior to the expected outdoor planting date. Sow them shallowly, around 1/4 inch deep. Hot peppers, and especially super-hot peppers, have a well-earned reputation for being finicky to germinate, but you can increase germination rates by providing bottom heat (highly suggested).
