UNIQUE CREEK HOMESTEAD SEEDS: All of our seeds are grown right here on our Unique Creek Homestead and not sourced from elsewhere. All seeds are collected each growing season and are 1-year old or less, stored in air-tight Mason jars. Seeds are harvested and labeled for storage each season, one plant/seed type at a time so seeds do not get mixed by accident during the process! The seeds we use at the start of each growing season come from the exact same seeds we sell.
ABOUT THESE SEEDS: The Black Krim is a popular open-pollinated heirloom beefsteak tomato from the Crimean Peninsula near the Black Sea. It features a rich, smoky-sweet flavor, dark burgundy-to-black skin, and weighs 8 to 16 ounces.
Fruit Characteristics
Size: Medium to large, weighing 8 to 14 ounces.
Color: Deep dark red, purple-brown, or maroon with dark green or brownish shoulders. More sun makes them darker.
Flavor: Intense, sweet, and slightly salty with rich, smoky depth and balanced acidity.
Texture: Juicy and meaty, great for slicing and salads.
Growing Guide
Type: Indeterminate vine that grows 4 to 6 feet tall and produces fruit all season.
